Kantar (formerly TNS BMRB and Kantar Public) have conducted the Employers' Pension Provision Survey biannually between 2003 and 2017, only excluding the 2015 EPP survey which was conducted by IFF. The main focus of the survey has been to gather information on the extent and nature of pension provision among private sector organisations in Great Britain and to collect details of recent or forthcoming changes in pension provision.

The last survey was conducted in 2017.

Employers' attitudes and likely reactions to the workplace pension reforms 2006, 2007 and 2009

Kantar have previously conducted three sweeps of research exploring employers’ attitudes and likely reaction to the workplace pension reforms.  The main focus of the survey has been to assess the extent of awareness of the forthcoming pension reforms among employers and to explore their attitudes and likely reactions.   The findings from the research have been widely used to help inform ongoing policy development in this area.

The last survey was conducted in 2009 in collaboration with John Forth and Helen Bewley from the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR).  The findings were based on a survey carried out among a nationally-representative sample of 2,550 private sector employers.

The report was published in 2010 (Bewley H and Forth J, Employers' attitudes and likely reactions to the workplace pension reforms 2009: report of quantitative study, DWP Research Report No. 683).
